Maintenance

Launch is the start, not the finish. I keep your site fast, secure, and current — updates, fixes, performance tuning, security, and backups, handled for you.

Most agencies build your site, hand you the keys, and vanish. I don't. Software drifts — dependencies age, browsers change, content goes stale, and a site that flew on launch day slowly gets slower if nobody's watching. Maintenance is me staying on the hook after launch: quietly keeping everything patched, quick, and working, so you can run your business instead of babysitting your website.

What's included

Updates & fixes

Content tweaks, new sections, copy changes, and the small bugs that inevitably surface once real people start using the site. You send a note; I turn it around — usually same-day.

Dependency & framework updates

I keep Next.js, Node, and the underlying packages current and patched, so your site never rots into an outdated, vulnerable version that's painful to fix later.

Performance tuning

I watch the real numbers — Lighthouse scores, load times, Core Web Vitals — and tune images, code, and delivery so the site stays as fast as the day it launched.

Security & backups

HTTPS kept valid, dependencies scanned for known vulnerabilities, and regular backups so nothing is ever one bad moment away from being lost.

Uptime monitoring

Automated checks watch the site around the clock. If something goes down, I know before you do — and often before your customers notice.

A real person to ask

You email the developer who built it, not a ticket queue. Same-day replies, honest answers, and no charge for the two-minute questions.

Questions

Do I have to have you build the site to get maintenance?+
No. It's simplest if I built it, but I can take over an existing site too. I'll do a quick review first to see what shape it's in and tell you honestly whether ongoing maintenance makes sense or whether a rebuild would serve you better.
What does maintenance cost?+
It depends on the size of the site and how much hands-on work you expect month to month, so I don't post a flat number that would be wrong for most people. Tell me about your site through the contact form and I'll send a straight, no-obligation quote — usually the same day.
What counts as an update versus a new project?+
Small stuff — copy edits, a new photo, a fresh menu item, a bug fix, a new section — is normal maintenance. If you want something substantially new, like a booking system or a whole new feature, that's a separate build, and I'll tell you clearly which side of the line a request falls on before any work starts.
How fast will you respond if something breaks?+
Same day, usually within the hour. You're emailing the developer who built the site, not a support desk — so there's no hand-off, no ticket triage, and no explaining your setup to a stranger. If the site is down, it's my priority.
Do you handle hosting too?+
I can. Maintenance and hosting pair naturally — I deploy on a modern edge network with HTTPS, a global CDN, and monitoring, then keep it tuned and patched over time. You can take both together or just maintenance if you're hosted elsewhere.
