Sign & Print Shops

Online ordering software for sign & print shops

If your customers still order by email, you know the routine: look up the price book, write a quote, wait for files, fix the artwork, then chase payment after the job ships. I build ordering platforms for sign and print shops that do that work for you — customers configure the job, upload artwork that's checked on the spot, see their price instantly and pay up front, and the order lands on your floor with the files and a job ticket. I built one for a wholesale sign printer, and it's live in production.

What usually hurts

  • Hours a day spent quoting by email off a price book only you understand
  • Low-res, RGB, wrong-size artwork you only catch at the printer
  • Billing after the job ships — then chasing the money
  • Ordering through a trade printer's portal instead of selling your own presses under your own name

What I build for you

  • A branded ordering portal on your own domain — for approved trade accounts, or open to the public
  • A pricing engine that reads your price book: per sheet, square foot, linear foot or piece, with quantity breaks and add-ons
  • Fill-the-sheet ordering: customers gang pieces onto one sheet and pay per sheet
  • Artwork checks on upload — resolution at the ordered size, color mode and dimensions — that warn before a bad file reaches the printer
  • Checkout on your own Stripe account, or net-30 for the accounts you approve
  • A back office for orders, statuses, print-ready files and job tickets for the floor
  • Per-customer pricing, tax-exempt accounts, PO numbers, saved carts and blind drop-ship

How an order flows

  1. 01

    Configure

The customer picks a substrate, size, quantity and finishing. The price updates with every choice.

  2. 02

    Upload & check

Artwork is checked as it uploads — resolution, color and size — with a clear warning if something looks off.

  3. 03

    Pay up front

Card at checkout, or net-30 for approved accounts. Jobs that can't be priced automatically go to your quote queue.

  4. 04

    Produce

The order lands in your back office with print-ready files and a job ticket for the floor.

Questions

Our price book lives in a spreadsheet. Can it use that?+
Yes — that's the starting point. Your price book becomes data the platform reads: sheet prices, quantity breaks, add-ons and minimums. When a price changes you edit it in the back office, no developer needed.
Will it reject my customers' files?+
Only if you want it to. The platform I built checks resolution, color mode and size on upload and warns the customer, who can fix the file or go ahead. You set the standard.
Who takes the payments?+
You do. Checkout runs on your own Stripe account, so the money goes straight to you and card details never touch my servers. Accounts you approve for net-30 can order without paying up front.
What about jobs that don't fit the price book?+
Oversize sheets, unusual quantities, complicated cutting — anything that can't be priced automatically goes to a quote queue instead of guessing, and you confirm the price.
Is this off-the-shelf software?+
No. Your shop gets a platform set up for your own products, prices and brand, built on the same base as the one already running in production — so it fits how you work instead of the other way around.
