Business-management platform for a shed manufacturer

// The problem

Shed manufacturing is deceptively complex: models and options to configure, quotes to price, orders moving through building stages across multiple shops, invoices, inventory, and dealers all in the mix. Run that on spreadsheets and disconnected tools and things fall through the cracks — wrong prices, lost orders, and no clear picture of the business.

// What I built

It's the system I built to run all of it. Customers and shops configure sheds from a catalog of models, categories, components, and add-ons with real pricing; orders move through queue → building → finished → invoiced; invoicing handles standard, driver, and repair types; inventory tracks items, materials, and vendors; and reports turn it into business analytics and projections. Company and shop roles keep everyone in their lane, and there's an AI assistant built in for the questions that don't fit a form. It's a big app — roughly 285 API routes and six role-based portals.

// The result

One platform runs the whole operation instead of a pile of spreadsheets — configuration, quoting, manufacturing, invoicing, inventory, and reporting, all connected. Built on Next.js (App Router), MongoDB, and the Vercel AI SDK with Anthropic. It's the biggest system I've built, and it runs a real manufacturer day to day.
